I visited Marid recently..and found this fantastic tapas bar..

A bit of a jump back in time, in a really good way. Probably the best croquetas I've had in Madrid - it's worth popping in just for a drink and to try them. You can order any number you want whilst stood in the bar area.When I've been, all croquetas have contained meat.Good tapas and vermouth too.

We had the tortilla skewer and it was very delicious, the staff is very happy and you transmit that joy!!

Almost reluctant to talk about this hidden little place that is like walking back in time but with modern standards of food and service. Superb service compliments excellent food. Highly recommended, especially the asparagus.

Great. Traditional Madrid cuisine bar. All very good. To highlight the croquettes, the empanadas and the tripe. All very good and good value for money. We will repeat. We have been advised by two friends Manoli and Pilar and we are from Chipiona (Cádiz)

Casa Manolo is one of those traditional bars that makes you feel at home from the moment you walk through the door. A traditional classic, with soul, where what shines is not only the product (which is excellent), but above all its people: the staff is extraordinary. Friendly, fast, attentive waitresses and waiters with that close treatment that is no longer found in many places.The breakfasts are ten: large, generous toasts with good bread, and delicious coffee, the kind that fixes your morning.If you go at midday, you can't miss their croquettes. They are a real spectacle: creamy, tasty, with that perfect batter... they alone are worth the visit.An authentic, unpretentious bar that knows what it does very well and does it with love.
